All About Sandy Shores

Sandy Shores has been an ambition of ours for a while. After years of selling products at various craft shows and retail shows all around Cornwall we have been lucky enough to meet and get to know some wonderfully talented people who create some of the best Cornish gifts.

From artists to glass makers, textile creators to ceramicists. We have seen the very best that the Cornish crafting community has to offer. We have always wanted to showcase these talented people.

In Spring 2023 we opened our first shop in the coastal town of Hayle, where we stayed for 3 years. But as the business grew we realised that we needed to move on, so we decided to up roots to a new town. Roll on to March 2026 and we proudly opened our new shop i the beautiful seaside town of Penzance, home of St Michaels Mount.

With the beautiful beaches that surround us the name Sandy Shores seemed obvious to us. We try to use the beautiful scenery that surrounds us to inspire the product choices that we make..

From locally hand poured soy wax candles to handmade seaglass pictures. And from fused glass artworks to handmade Cornish textile products we have tried to use the inspiration that the sea and coast gives us to influence our carefully curated products, giving you the customer the chance to try some beautiful items that you may not find in mainstream shops, and some great ideas if you want to buy somebody special a great Cornish present.

Our shop is based in a gorgeous pedestrianised street called Causewayhead, which is jammed full of inspiring and unique independent shops. From bakeries to jewellers, refill stores to florists Causewayhead truly has something for everyone and we are proud to be the latest edition to the street.
